The slick animated film was actually made in Tokyo, Japan and was released around five years ago in 2003. The film is based on three original plotlines (that preceded most of the Winnie the Pooh stories) made by A.A. Milne, the creator of Winnie the Pooh. This is more of a re-telling in which Piglet is made the hero instead of Winnie the Pooh. For example, instead of Pooh’s Corner, the film calls it Piglet’s Corner. The film was well-received by the critics and by just being accepted by a very rudimentary crowd is a feat itself considering this is a movie more for the kids than the adults.
