Family Bonding and Nature Bonding
Date Posted: March 6th, 2009 Posted Under: Relationships and FamilyFamily time is most especially evident during the earlier days of childhood for the kids and parenthood. Parents make sure they spare some time, at least once a year, to plan a family outing for the entire family. The ultimate goal for doing such is to mold a strong bond among family members through Outdoor Activities for one.
When planning outdoor activities for the family, the three things to consider are – fun, learning experience and safety. Fun is needed to make kids interested about the whole bonding activity. To make something fun for them could be trying something new like fishing, camping, trekking, etc. And most of the time, the most fun activity is also the one with the most learning. Camping for example allows the parents to teach the kid how to pitch a tent, start a fire, cook camping food and many more. Or perhaps a trekking activity would be a great way of bonding through educational lessons about flora and fauna encountered along the trail site. Of course, in any activity especially those done outdoor, safety is a primary concern. Make sure the spot is secured from wild animals and the weather is fine before proceeding.
Besides the fun, educational experience and bonding derived from outdoor activities, this also presents an opportunity to expose kids on caring for the environment. The younger they are exposed to this good attitude, the stronger it builds in them.
