Some of the most common symptoms of ADHD seen among kids are inability to sit still, having some trouble concentrating, and tendency to get bored easily. For parents, having kids with ADHD or ADD is something to worry about, a concern that needs to be addressed. However, these problems have a solution as there are a number of medications and even therapy that can be given to kids who have a hard time concentrating. There are also some ways of treating ADD without medication. Believe it or not, playing the piano and getting your kids into sports can be some simple solutions of curing the condition.
Michael Phelps, one of the greatest swimmers of all time admitted that he had ADHD when he was a kid that’s why his parents got him into swimming. All his excess energy was diverted into sports and this is a good therapy for kids as it teaches them discipline and patience as well; same as with playing the piano or any other instrument for that matter. For parents who have kids with problems of ADHD or ADD, it is time to quit worrying and take some action. Engage your kids in lessons on sports and instruments and you can be assured that you’ll see improvements in no time.
